Things To Know Before Ordering
- Ensure you select the correct ECU series for your vehicle (BA, BF or FG).
- FG applications are manual only. If you are running an FG with an automatic transmission please contact us.
- If you are running a turbo setup on a factory N/A ECU select the Turbo Ready option.
- If you are unsure which option suits your build contact us before ordering.

What is a Turbo Ready / N/A+T ECU
Our Turbo Ready ECU option uses a compatible BA, BF, or FG Falcon ECU loaded with a suitable turbo calibration.
In many cases, this may be an originally N/A (non-turbo) ECU that has been professionally configured for turbo Barra applications. This is commonly referred to as an N/A+T ECU setup.
For many Barra conversions, this provides excellent functionality and drivability without requiring a genuine factory XR6 Turbo ECU.
However, some factory turbo-specific features, such as factory electronic boost control, may require a genuine factory XR6 Turbo ECU depending on the intended application.

Do I need a factory XR6 Turbo ECU
Not always.
For many Barra conversion applications, a compatible BA, BF, or FG Falcon ECU configured with a suitable turbo calibration will operate the engine perfectly without requiring a genuine factory XR6 Turbo ECU.
However, if you intend to retain certain factory turbo ECU features, such as factory electronic boost control, a genuine factory XR6 Turbo ECU may be required.

Will this ECU work with your standalone Barra looms
Yes. These ECUs are designed to work with our standalone Barra conversion looms and are configured to suit standalone applications.
If purchasing an ECU separately, please contact us if you are unsure about compatibility with your existing wiring setup.
