What ECU do I need for a Barra conversion?
This depends on your engine and desired setup. BA, BF and FG engines all use different ECU strategies and wiring configurations. If you are unsure which ECU is best for your conversion, contact us prior to ordering and we can help guide you in the right direction.
Are your looms plug and play?
Our looms are designed to make Barra conversions as simple as possible. Minor wiring is still required for items such as ignition power, starter trigger, fuel pump and cooling fans depending on your vehicle setup.
Detailed wire up diagrams are included to assist with installation.
Do I need a throttle pedal?
Yes. Barra engines use an electronic throttle body and require a compatible accelerator pedal assembly. BA/BF and FG pedals use different wiring configurations.
Can I use a naturally aspirated ECU on a turbo Barra setup?
In many cases yes, however the ECU must be configured correctly to suit the setup. Certain factory turbo functions such as electronic boost control may not operate unless using a genuine turbo ECU.
Do your looms support air conditioning?
Yes, selected loom options support air conditioning integration. Please check the product description carefully or contact us prior to ordering if you are unsure.
Do your looms support cruise control?
Cruise control support is available on selected loom packages. Additional wiring or modules may be required depending on the vehicle and engine combination.
Do you offer technical support?
Yes. Basic aftersales support is available for customers using genuine Greens Barra Solutions products.

Yes. Wiring diagrams and setup information are available through our website to assist with installation and troubleshooting.
How long do orders take to dispatch?
Most products are made to order. Dispatch times may vary depending on workload, order volume and parts availability. Current estimated lead times are generally displayed on the website.
Do I need CANBarra for my setup?
Certain conversions and aftermarket dash setups may require CANBarra modules for functions such as speed signal output, cluster integration or air conditioning operation.
Can you remove PATS or configure my ECU?
Yes. We offer ECU setup and configuration services including PATS removal and standalone conversion setup for compatible factory ECUs.
What fuel system should I run?
Fuel system requirements vary depending on power goals and fuel type. Higher horsepower or E85 setups generally require upgraded fuel pumps, injectors and wiring upgrades.
